Norwood is a private investment company that was organized in 1980 as EAB Venture Corp., and operated until early 1988 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of European American Bank (New York).

In April, 1988 a group of individual investors, including NVC's management and directors, acquired 100% of the EAB Venture Corp. common stock and changed its name to Norwood Venture Corp.
